Forklifts can raise extremely heavy objects since they have a counterweight on the back of the forklift. A small lift truck that could raise 1800 kilograms weighs approximately 4000 kilograms, that is the same as two full-size pickup trucks. The biggest forklifts can have up to 36,000 kilograms of lifting capacity.

Considerations
There are a lot of safety concerns involved in using a lift truck. When driving down a ramp, travel in reverse. If the load is bulky and interferes with vision, haul it in reverse.
